Hello, my name is Luigi Falanga, and I recently joined the Cognitive and Experimental Psychology department at the RWTH Aachen University. As a PhD student, I am working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iring Koch on the DFG funded project titled ‘Age-related changes in the mechanisms of auditory attention switch in selective hearing.’ This project is led by Dr. Iring Koch in collaboration with Prof. Janina Fels from the Institute for Hearing Technology and Acoustics.
Prior to joining this program, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Psychological Sciences, followed by a Master's degree in Applied Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Parma.
During the last two years, I conducted research on Interpersonal Physiological Mirroring, developing and implementing a research proposal in this area, which is currently in the final stages of completion and review for publication. In addition, I was involved in an intriguing research project at the Vrije University of Amsterdam, focusing on the relationship between visual working memory and action planning.
I am enthusiastic about contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the auditory domain and experimental psychology. Feel free to connect with me or explore more about my work on this web page.
