RehaFuturReal-II
RFR-II: Scientific monitoring and evaluation of a modified consulting concept for the target group of unemployed rehabilitants in the area of services to enhance participation in working life
The model project RehaFuturReal-II is directly connected with the concept and results of the pilot project RehaFuturReal-I. The conception of RehaFuturReal-I is a reaction to the results of the development process RehaFutur (Riedel, Rheinsberg, Schmidt & Klügel, 2012) of the german pension insurance DRV Westfalen. RehaFutur was realized to develop and to bundle several concepts and activities, which are used to deal with challenges of demographic and social developments. In this process, vocational rehabilitation is focused on the goal to achieve an inclusive society.
In RehaFuturReal-I, the results from this development process were transferred into professional practice of vocational rehabilitation counseling.
In this process, consulting services of the DRV Westfalen were optimized to offer a more effective counseling for insurants using the RehaFuturReal-approach. RehaFuturReal-I was officially implemented in March 2013 in Dortmund. In this context, formative and summative evaluation done by RWTH Aachen revealed a positive result.
Whereas pilot project RehaFuturReal-I focused on the target group of insured persons with an existing employment contract, model project RehaFuturReal-II focuses on unemployed insurants. This group is representing a more problematic group with additional challenges. Keeping this in mind, in RehaFuturReal-II the original consulting concept from RehaFuturReal-I is adapted and tested for the target grout of unemployed insurants. RWTH Aachen ensures optimal adaptation of the original conception on the new target group with help of a formative evaluation for a time period of 30 months.
